Business Development Professional – New York City

Farr, Miller & Washington, a registered investment advisor headquartered in Washington, D.C., is seeking an experienced financial services business development professional with exceptional communication and relationship management skills.

Responsibilities
➢ Present the firms value proposition to financial consultants in a branch environment to drive referral opportunities
➢ Drive penetration in an assigned region through branch presentations and regular communication
➢ Meet with individual HNW individual referrals in person and by phone to present FMW and secure client engagement
➢ Work with client portfolio managers to transition clients into the service model
➢ Proactively pursue new client relationships outside of distribution partners

Requirements
➢ 3+ years experience working with HNW clients in a consultative selling environment
➢ Strong presentation skills to 15 or more people
➢ Financial industry and product knowledge
➢ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
➢ Strong relationship management skills
➢ Highly detail oriented
➢ Able to work independently and on a team
➢ Strong computer skills
➢ Experience with CRM software
➢ Ability to travel throughout New York City, Connecticut and Long Island
➢ Series 65 or 66/7 license

Competitive base salary based on experience plus commission.
